Erdem Moralioglu is graced with the incomparable talent to put the silhouette of the woman into the limelight like no other with his amazing collections. In general, the label Erdem can be seen as  homage to femininity itself. With his models, he wants to strive against the masculinisation of women’s wear, however, without condemning the boyish trend in the women’s world. Instead, he simply wants to show the world that femininity is simply beautiful. Modernity, classical structures and filigree designs go hand in hand here, depending on each other and drawing their expressive power from the symbiosis they form.

Graduating from the legendary London College of Art, the fashion creator is still home in this special city on the Thames where he founded his eponymous label in the year 2005. Despite the avant-garde appearance, Erdem calls his creations ready-to-wear fashion because he aims to address each and every type of woman with his creations who wants to express and emphasize her femininity. For his achievements, he did not only receive countless nominations and awards but also enjoys a growing international fan base which supports him in whatever he is doing. You can discover his glamorous robes at 170 exclusive retailers all over the globe.

On Feburary 23rd, he blew everyone away with his new collection for the winter 2015 and 2016 which he presented within the frameworks of the London Fashion Week. Today however, we will take a look at the summer collection 2015 which is still the talk of the town. With this collection Erdem is celebrating the beauty of the Victorian era. To be precise he is honoring the Victorian biologist and artist Marianne North. Her studies on nature as well as the architecture of beautiful Victorian greenhouses inspired this breathtaking collection.

The latter influence persuaded the designer to incorporate perforated fabrics into his designs which feature countless sophisticated cut-outs. Despite the geometric structures, the dresses still exude pure sensual sexiness because the cutouts let almost every part of the female wearer shine through the fabric. They reveal as much as they hide which makes the designs even more fascinating. Inspired by the fauna, numerous robes made of countless feathers can be explored. Other creations feature amazing botanical motifs apart from feminine camouflage patterns which are made of delicate ruffles.
