As you probably all know, on January 19th, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week started in our capital Berlin. At the same time, the Panorama fashion fair Berlin where international brands present their trends for the fall and winter 2015/2016 opened its gates. One of the exhibitors is the label Casual Friday, an affiliated firm of the Danish fashion house Blend which is known for its urban look. Casual Friday however presents a rather smart style which connects the casual with the professional and therefore offers us the perfect combination for all kinds of situations. Today, I am not going to introduce you to the fall and winter collection 2015/2016 collection, instead I’ dealing with the latest Year End 2014 Collection.
This collection is particularly defined by its wintery combination of black and grey nuances with red and blue shades. The cuts are less of an extravagant and unusual character because slim silhouettes are chosen which exude a discreet aura. The single pieces, classics like button-down shirts, blazers with narrow lapels, cardigans and biker leather jackets underline the smart but casual style of casual Friday. He classical pieces can therefore be freely combined with each other. Due to the unique combination of colors and patterns an individual look is created which however does not does not steal the wearer’s attention. Casual Friday thus offers a broad spectrum of looks, perfect for celebrating the end of the year and the beginning of 2015 with rocking diverse festive events.
Some possible outfits are shown in the Year End 2014 Lookbook. One look which especially struck our eye consisted of a grey, checked blazer, grey jeans and a black printed shirt, worn under a cardigan with graphical patterns. Another classical combination of a black suiot and a white shirt with buttoned collar was impressive as well. The subtly mixed patterns are what will make heads turn. Just take a look at the blue and grey, checked shirt which is worn with a blue and white dotted bow tie. Another eye catcher is a shirt made of a rougher, blue fabric which is printed with a pattern made of small pairs of glasses. All in all, you can call this collection a very solid line where any man can find something he can fall in love with.
