Hey Beauties.

Diamonds are a girl’s best friends. I can’t actually verify that because as a student I don’t exactly have the means to afford them, but I do share one opinion with Marilyn: They are pretty darn beautiful. That’s why I wanted to incorporate them into one of our Manicure Mondays. Stay tuned if you want to know how I did that.

What you will need:

1x black polish
1x white polish
1x dotting tool or the end of a brush or a toothpick

Step 1
Paint all of your nails black with the exception of the accent nail. You can even shape your nails a little bit more pointy to support the whole diamond theme, but that’s not obligatory.  The accent nail is going to be white. Wait at least 30 minutes for the polish to dry before going to the next step.

Step 2
Now take your dotting tool or a black striper, mine is by NYC, and create a thin black border around the white accent nail.

Step 3
Then drag a thin horizontal line across the lower part of your nail.

Step 4
As the last step, paint a diamond over the whole nail, crossing the line you just drew. I didn’t create the usual shape of a diamond because that one looks a little bit too “cartoony” for me. This design however is way more elegant, don’t you think?

Yours truly,
Lana Hoang
