The Red Dot Design Award is in the first place supposed to honor sophisticated ideas and concepts. But sometimes, surprising and almost cheeky ideas are given this sought-after award. This is why the following design won in the category Communication Design.

Small teabags which look like tiny origami in a dry condition. But if you put them in hot water, they slowly turn into little goldfish! Sounds crazy, doesn’t it? From my point of view, it’s always absolutely impressive to see how people try to breathe aesthetics into all kinds of situation in life. In this way, even the smallest things like a nice cup of tea in the afternoon are enriched and elevated. The designer group Charm Villa from Taiwan, who invented this cute teabag design, was certainly very pleased to receive this award. I personally hope that the small fish can be purchased in German supermarkets soon!
