Stefanie Barz is a costume and clothing designer who started her career in Germany. To be precise, she chose Berlin as the starting point of her career. There, she attended an art school and discovered the diversity of her talent and creativity. Ancient designs and structures are newly interpreted by her and shaped anew. Modern garments are individually changed furthermore. What makes Stefanie’s fashion so special is the dreamy, unconventional design. Each piece of clothing is marked by a certain story and consists of countless details and components. It’s simply amazing to see the sheer amount of braided, draped, dyed, ruffled and wrapped elements which come together, forming one harmonious and extremely extravagant whole.
Thanks to the multitude of processing techniques, Stefanie creates clothing defined by special shapes and silhouettes which seem to play with the human body. Stefanie relies on figure-hugging pieces and voluminous figures which are connected with each other. The ruffled, floor-length skirt embraces the silhouette of the wearer, while the dress made of patent leather is incredibly voluminous.
