From October 28th to November 1st, the 21st edition of the Riga Fashion Week took place. 20 fashion brands will present their spring and summer collection 2015 to the fashion world on five consecutive evenings. Apart from established brands like QoQoo, Amoralle and Anna Led, promising newcomers like Nadia Kirpa and Keta Gutmane receive the great chance to introduce their creations to 10,000 visitors. Amongst the visitors: many Latvian celebrities like Riga’s major Nils Usakovs, entrepreneur and politician Martins Bondars and many more.

The brand Amoralle, which we already introduced to you simply belongs to this fashion spectacle in Latvia’s capital city like Romeo belongs to Juliet. The creative head of Amoralle is Inese Ozola, who is inspired by famous actresses like Marlene Dietrich, Greta Garbo and the fashion of the last century in general. The spring and summer collection therefore consists of graceful and delicate lingerie, nightgowns as well as luxurious clothing which impresses with high-quality fabric and beautiful lace designs for your cozy home. The handmade collections give the lady a royal feeling.

As I already mentioned, the designer Keta Gutmane is one of the newcomers of the RFW. The brand which was brought to life in the year 2013 designs women’s wear and convinces with avant-garde aesthetics. Keta Gutmane considers the outfit as a multifunctional object, which should reflect emotions and experiences. Furthermore, she succeeds in incorporating profane and earthly topics into her designs. Her spring and summer collection is therefore reduced to the colors black, white and grey which simply draw the beholder under their spell in purist cuts.

Apart from the Fashion Shows of the designers, the RFW offered a multitude of presentations and other evening events which took place within the frameworks of the Latvian fashion spectacle. In addition, a new pop-up store was opened in the shopping and entertainment center on the Riga Plaza in collaboration with the Fashion Store Paviljons. There, you can acquire the latest fall and winter collection of known Latvian labels which regularly participate in the RFW until January 3rd, 2015. Indeed, the Riga Fashion Week offered a professional overall package and can be considered a real success for everyone who was involved.
