Mevan Kaluarachchi believes that a modern outfit is a mix of style and originality. This is why his fashion includes both aspects, whereupon he demonstrates originality in the form of little changes of classic cuts. Beside clear cuts, the perfect fit of the garments stands in the center. The designer was originally born in Sri Lanka, studied at the Willem de Kooning Academie of Fine Arts and won the desirable Body Fashion Design Award as a student.

Fashion that is made for an international audience is also included in his summer collection 2015. In this one, clearly structured lines and geometrical forms are put into the foreground. The menswear line places the focus on the design of the classic suit, consisting of pleated pants and shirt. With the help of precious silky fabrics and little changes of the classic shape, the elegant pieces become a stylish companion for business occasions and free time activities.

While short and long pants, sweaters, blazers, t-shirts and other tops become wearable for the office and the festive evening thanks to their masculine cut and elegant lines, the ensemble of natural, subtle, but joyful colors make them also wearable during your everyday life. If you want to have a closer look at his styles, you should definitively visit his shows at the  MQ Vienna Fashion Week. The Austrian fashion-hungry crowd and international fashion victims, however, need to be a little patient, since his last show took place in September.
