Lakwilai’s women’s wear is self-confident, expressive and individual, thrilling, playful, clear, joyful, elegant and minimalist. To keep it short: it embodies everything a woman might desire. In this year’s current summer collection, the silhouettes are defined by clear lines, which also appear in the color structure.
The summer collection and its 15 looks are kept very clear, which makes the looks appear more sophisticated. Black, blue and powerful yellow are included in the color scheme, which reminds us of the Dresdner Baustil. On the dresses and other designs, we can namely find the division of sections by black lines, which separates the fabric into yellow and blue-colored geometric fields. Considering these attributes, everything also reminds of the works of artist Piet Mondrian, a Dutch painter of the Bauhaus, of the Constructivism and abstract painting.
The style is very elegant and includes a touch of femininity. In this collection, you can find dresses, coats, pants, tops and overalls which all look sophisticated and minimalist. All models are defined by artistic lines and a slight accentuation on the waist. The combination of two to three colors is thrilling, but not too overwhelming. Their contrast is very important for the striking overall image. Only muted details, like little slits on dresses or extraordinary straps, refine the line. As it was part of theMQ Vienna Fashion Week , Lakwilai presented their new collection for spring and summer 2015 within the frameworks of this fashion spectacle.
