National and international designers demonstrated their newest creations and visions for SS15 at the MQ Vienna Fashion Week and let us become part of their fashion universes. One of them was the Vienna-based fashion label ruins of modernity, whose founder is Maria Steiner. She fights against the pressure which is created in today’s fashion industry, and devotes herself to the essence of her collections. She detects problems, makes up creative solutions and so, achieves what she wants.
According to ruins of modernity, the ideal woman is modern, feminine and has both feet on the ground. This is why the label’s style appears so mature and restrained, standing out thanks to clear structures and refreshing purism. It is for example this year’s summer line which proves that one doesn’t need a lot to convince, because sometimes, less is more!
This line is oriented towards the feminine silhouette of the wearer, which defines the cut. Soft lines and flowing, straight designs transform dresses, skirts and tops into modern allrounders. You can choose between the sporty version, for example a comfy sweater, or the modern and sensual tapered dress with a deep cleavage. Soft colors subtly complete this minimalist design and create harmony and balance.
