Hunkydory was founded in the year 1996 and named after a phrase which became famous thanks to David Bowie. The name can be translated to “everything is cool” and describes the easygoing and laid-back character of the designs. Hunkydory places the focus on knitwear, paired with a selection of other garments, which complete the young charm. Ulrika and Christopher Bjercke, a designer couple, who met during their studies in Paris are the ones pulling the strings behind Hunkydory.

The typical Hunkydory wearer underlines her personality in various ways. But she particularly seems to dig clear, daring structures. The winter collection 2014 convinces us with the aid of figure-hugging designs and oversize pieces, which create a beautiful contrast. While the tight pants will flatter your legs, the designers rely on jackets in the army style and edgy designs to dress your upper body. The patchwork look definitely bestows a big helping of excitement on the skinny jeans, colored in black, grey and blue.

In the summer line the designers will trust in the strong contrast between black and white. With the aid of shimmering patterns composed of pearls around the décolleté or the seam, the collection receives an oriental character. Highlights in the form of tunics and blouses accentuate this oriental touch further. Nonetheless, the outfit appears modern, young and urban with jeans and body jackets which are adorned with details like studs.

The latest line for the summer 2015 will be presented at the Fashion Week Stockholm   on August 26th at 12:00.
