Hello fellow beauty lovers.
Funny enough, the time period in which I cheat and indulge in my greatest addiction the most is when I am at the main station. I always fear that I will miss my train/bus or whatever so I am always really early at the station. And because Deutsche Bahn is basically known for their “flexible punctuality” I have more time to spend than I actually have to spare. The last time I was in Cologne, waiting for my train to arrive I hopped into MAC for a quick look. I let the shop assistant put on several shades of lipsticks on me and in the end I left there with the MAC Prep + Prime Lip Smoother because I just couldn’t decide which one to take with me.

A lot of people don’t know about this product. In fact, whilst I was standing between two lipsticks I asked the shop assistant to bring me the primer so I could prepare my lips for this torture but she didn’t know what I was talking about. It does look discreet with it’s simple black tube but if you’ll look closely you can make out tiny little glitter particles, which reminds me of space.
The Product | MAC Prep + Prime Lip Smoother
The product itself smells a little bit harsh but once it is on your lips you won’t detect a hint of smell. The application is pure heaven, guys, it feels like putting wax on your lips but in a good way. I use this lip smoother before putting any color on my lips. It creates the perfect canvas for every color there is. It can even smooth out an ultra matte one like the “retro matte” finishes by MAC.
Overall impression | MAC Prep + Prime Lip Smoother
This precious thing retails for 19.50€. It is very expensive considering it is only a primer but I have to say that due to the fullness of my lips, they are constantly dehydrated. It doesn’t matter how much I do for them, sometimes the skin just cracks. And because I don’t want to miss out on my lipsticks, I really don’t regret buying the primer. It does what it promises and if you can buy it, do it. I for one love this product and haven’t regretted my decision once.
