Although the combination of blue eyeshadow with blue eyes is kind of old fashioned, I wore it at a night out in the club and changed it up a little with a gold accent on the inner corners. For this look I used only matte eyeshadows, except for the gold part.

1. First of all I applied an eyeshadow base as usual to make the colors appear more vibrant (NYX Jumbo Pencil in ‘Milk’).

2. To help blend out the colors I blended a light brown eyeshadow in to my crease.

3. Next I applied a winged eyeliner that we are gonna use as a guideline through the whole look.

Because the whole look is formed in a cat eye shape we are gonna apply the transition of the eyeshadows in the shape of the eyeliner. Therefore it’s the easiest to start off with the darkest colors and blend these out with the lighter ones.

4. Take a black eyeshadow (‘Blackout’ by Urban Decay) and blend out the eyeliner on the outer part of the eye, creating a V-shape.

5. Next take a dark blue eyeshadow and blend out the black carefully, without blending it too much in to the crease. The darker eyeshadows should be blended out completely in the middle of the eye lid.

6. To get to the inner part of the eye, apply a light blue eyeshadow and blend it in to the darker colors. To make the transition look perfect I needed to do some touch ups using the darker colors again.

7. Apply a black kajal on your waterline.

8. For the lower lash line, apply a black eyeshadow on the outer part and blend it out in the middle of the lower lash line.

9. For the gold part, apply a gold creme eyeshadow (‘copper’ by Bobbi Brown) and apply it on the inner corner, as well as the inner part of the lower lash line and apply a gold eyeshadow (‘half baked’ by Urban Decay) on top of it.

10. For the brow highline I used ‘vanilla’ by MAC.

To complete the look I used a couple coats of mascara on my top and bottom lashes.
