Approximately 30 years ago, Dr. Robert Sapolsky started to observe a group of baboons in the region of Keeborok. After a while, he noticed that, bit by bit, the alpha males got poisoned from infected meat, which was left behind by tourists, and died.

The remaining males were what we would call “nice guys” and were in a 1:2 proportion to the females.

Now, they could propagate untroubledly, and they did and have still been doing so to this day. The result was a totally new harmony in the group. The Keekorok group was less stressed and has embodied their own “culture” for over 20 years. This probably proves that an entire society can change for the better within only one generation, even if this is only goes for the fauna.
