Churpina is a label from Malta, founded by Charlene, a fashion designer who more or less taught herself the art of designing and creating fashion. It was mainly the passion of the founder, fueled by her almost childish perception of fashion and her never ending curiosity, which led her to the fashion world.
Creating something new and offering unique pieces to her customers – these are the top priorities the brand has to implement. Charlene’s works are particularly inspired by Vivienne Westwood, John Galliano and Christian Lacroix. While the brand of course can enjoy a safe spot at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Malta, Charlene still dreams of presenting her fashion in Paris and Milan.
In her collections, the designer shows a completely new side of herself. While “Malice in Wonderland” reminds you of a fairytale, dominated by many princess dresses, “Softly, Softly” rather evokes the image of a tougher woman. The looks appear sinister and the dresses are revealing, short and therefore sexy.
Short denim skirts and summer dresses are presented, which will definitely jazz up your casual outfit. Colored in white and enhanced with colorful fabric processing methods like the attachment of sequins, the robes exude something joyful and light. Churpina, as I said, was part of the Fashion Week in Malta, enriching the atmosphere with a summery touch. The brand seems to be very young. But trust me, we can expect a lot from Charlene to come.
