The Maltese-born designer Ritienne Zammit is known for her experiments with different materials which earned her many awards including the “New Designer Award” during the Fashion Awards in Malta in 2013. Her collections are based on the employment of different concepts. The main aspect however is always to create contrasts. In addition, patterns, prints and thrilling shapes result in an incredible expressive power.
Unusual texture, past epochs and exciting details are what fuels and motivates the talented designer. The creations by Ritienne Zammit are made to outfit the strong, confident and rebellious individual. This is something clearly reflected by the collection for the fall and winter 2013 where she drew her inspiration from the romantic Baroque epoch as well as from the anarchist attitude of the punks. This mixture leads to a unique collection, which is mainly composed of transparent materials and studs.
Ritienne Zammit seems to be dangerously sweet. Her collections are feminine, sexy and dominant. We are really looking forward to her newest collection whose launch will be celebrated on the runways of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Malta.
