Nicola Finetti is the name of an Australian label whose designer however has Italian roots. Nicola, whose Yugoslavian mother was married to an Italian, lived in Italy, Argentina and now Australia and therefore represents a melting pot of cultures himself.
His life as well as his designs are therefore marked by contrasts, be it the color palette or his source of inspiration. The goal of his designs however stays: to emphasize the beauty of the wearer.
In his latest collection for fall and winter 2014/15 again a typically feminine silhouette is created. The waist is tightly embraced by Finetti’s designs, while the hips are either highlighted by protruding shapes or figure-hugging pencil skirts. With geometric lines a strong woman is presented who at the same time exudes something tempting and sweet thanks to the shortness of the skirts.
Nicola works with luscious colors, which however gain a touch of strictness due to the use of black and white. Bright yellow, blue or green, filigree patterns contrast with geometric lines and black contours which appear like grids thanks to the pattern. Apart from sweet dresses, which vary in their designs, you can also find pants in the assortment which give the collection a nonchalant personality.
Nicola Finetti stands for a style which is made to underline the female beauty and give women self-confidence. At the same time, the clothing is supposed to get you through the day and night with a lot of comfort. Of course Nicola Finetti succeeded in enchanting fashion victims at the Sydney Fashion Weekend.
