Ixiah was founded by the designer Krystel Davis in corporation with Paul Mitchell. The designer was able to collect much experience in design, illustration and creative direction from renowned advertisement firms before she took up the adventure of her own fashion line. A very special kind of confirmation of her skills comes from celebrities who proudly dress up in her designs: among them Nicole Richie, Megan Gale, actress Isabel Lucas, singer Zoë Badwi and model Jessica Hart.

Her designs are often praised for their extraordinaire aesthetic. The new collection for fall and winter 2014/15 comes up to this statement once again. The designs are given a futuristic character because of the geometric cut and the many details. Especially the metallic embellishments of the hems evoke a look as if from another world.

With clear lines and the kimono sleeves, which are used quite often, they accentuate the boxy silhouette. This is even more highlighted by the uneven hem of the skirt which has an edgy cut-out right in the middle of the front, giving off an avant-garde look.

Krystel was raised between New Zealand and Australia where she has discovered her passion for arts and travel very early. With her label Ixiah, she works on the new collection for fall and winter. She uses geometric lines which are being accentuated through color contrasts or they’re cut out, presenting a strict and modern design. And it’s exactly this design which Krystel is going to show at the Sydney Fashion Weekend.
