The makers of the horror game called Amnesia: The Dark Descent decided to shock us anew. The game will be released in 2015 as a single-player horror game, while the setting is located far below the ocean – one of those places we have never reached before. A place which is scary and unfamiliar to us. All those crazy fish species and other animals we sometimes see in the deep are just one reason why the deep sea scares us.
You could say that SOMA is like Bioshock for the super tough guys. Just like Amnesia, SOMA is a survival horror game in which you can barely defend yourself. All you can do is run. This kind of weakness already made Amnesia the best horror game in my opinion.
I can’t wait to start shivering and cowering again in 2015 with SOMA! I am so excited to cry myself to sleep after hours of playing SOMA in the dark.
