Truly Alvarenga ist he one pulling the strings behind the label Pink Elephant which we are really looking for to see at the Nashwille Fashion Week in April. If you take a look at the collection “ The Poison Diaries”, trust me, you lips will automatically utter: “Wooooow” From my point of view, the latest collection however is the most impressive one. “Harlequin Fall” and in particularly “White Party” took my breath away as well. But the latest collection is the one Truly Alverenga has put her entire spectrum of emotions into which are slumbering inside her.
While the first collection “Between Light & Shadow” is marked by rather ordinary and casual mono and bikinis, the following line really symbolizes the daring and provocative this label stands for. By the way, Truly Alvarenga knows how to change the expression of her designs. Sometimes her tattooed models appear a rather timid, other times they seem dominant and mature, while other mannequins are dressed to leave a rebellious and playful impression.
As Truly Alvarenge herself said, her pieces vary a lot from each other, especially within a collection. In addition, the creations can appear completely different depending on the person who is wearing them. One of them is the black and white striped evening gown in my opinion which is characterized by a classic cut and timeless design. However, the tattooed model who is wearing the dress still exudes the rebellious and punk soul of the robe. Well, it would be refreshing to see such outstanding personalities walking on the red carpet in one of Truly Alvarenga’s dresses, wouldn’t it?
