Sophie Theallet attended the Studio Bercot in Paris when she was 18 for education. Right before graduation she was lucky and talented enough to win the National Young Designer Award. After that the famous designer Jean-Paul Gaultier hired her.

There she learned how to combine colors and how to create story-telling collections. She got the confidence to trust on her own instinct. After several years of working at Azzedine Alïa she decided to launch her own label under her own name in 2007.

The collection for spring and summer 2014 shows her development from short skirts and pants to cocktail and evening dresses. She uses strong red and blue tones, but never combines them. If she wants to, she uses peach tones. Her see-through knitting fabrics either in the form of small details or as a whole garment are real eye catchers.

Sophie Thealett shows a balance between elegance and sex appeal through her collection. Her creations are mature and sophisticated as well as playful, young and fresh. That maybe is her secret recipe for success.
