Three championship victories were handed out to current BMW models at the exclusive “award” show for cars: “Value Champion 2014”. That goes to show that the brand continues to succeed with efficiency, comfortability and quality. The latest issue of “Auto Bild” recently released a ranking showing the most valuable vehicles on the German market and BMW were leading in terms of family cars, compact SUV’s and luxury cars.

The BMW 325 Touring (169 kW/218 PS; fuel consumption all together: 5,1 l/100km, CO emission: 134g/km); the BMW X3 xDrive20d (135 kW/184 PS, fuel consumption: 5,6 l/100 km, CO emission 149 g/km) and the BMW 530d Touring (190 kW/258 PS, fuel consumption: 5,7 – 5,3 l/100 km, CO emission: 149 – 139 g/km) were awarded in February, 6 2014 in Berlin. On a percentage basis they are now the very car brand with the most success.

The “Wertmeister” was awarded for the eleventh time by now and shows that BMW operates on a lot of different grounds and still manages to bring out cars that impress with quality, looks and power. The ranking in “Auto Bild” was conducted in cooperation with Schwacke, a renowned market investigation institute. It was based on different prognoses by specialists on the automotive market about the resale value of each car. To determine the details, characteristics of the car, purchase price, running costs or the performance in benchmark tests have to be looked at as well as brand image, competitive situation and segment-specific demands. Those results are essential for potential customers, who are looking for a new car because the difference between the original price and trade price is pretty big.
