Anja Gockel had studied at the well-known Central St. Martins Fashion School in England before she decided to return to her hometown Mainz. Her origins don’t play a big role in her designs; instead the fact that she’s a woman does. Her aim is to make it easier to get access to designer fashion. This is how all creations are produced in the sizes XS, but even XXL. She tries to fight against anorexia in the fashion world and wants every woman at all ages and at all weights to feel beautiful.

The typical thing about the collection are the bold prints. In the fall/winter collection the designer highlights the romance. You will see beautiful, red roses on the garments. Together with some blue roses they decorate the blazers, pants and also dresses. One of the dresses is even embellished with some geometrical stripes which divide the body into different sections and which highlight the curves. They also add a strong character. A softer variation of the geometry can be found as a pattern of colorful stripes.

Anja Gockel shows a piece of joy of living in her winter collection. Even “normal” women can enjoy her pieces
