Der kanadische Designer Jeremy Laing verbrachte seine Kindheit in Deutschland und so fragt man sich natürlich, ob nicht auch ein bisschen von einem Deutschen in ihm steckt? Letztendlich ist dies aber auch nebensächlich, im Mittelpunkt steht nämlich seine Mode und diese ist international. Nicht einmal zwischen den Geschlechtern unterscheidet der Designer. Die Outfits scheinen größtenteils wirklich unisex zu sein, auch wenn sie ab und zu schon auch das Weiblichste im Manne und das Burschikoseste in der Frau herauskitzeln:
Zu sehen in dem Outfit, bestehend aus kurzer Hose, T-Shirt und Jacke. Das T-Shirt ist rosarot und trägt eine große Tasche über dem Bauch. Auch die Hose ist mit verschiedenen Rosa- und Orangetönen bemalt, die verlaufen. Beim Mantel sind die Säume rosa, während der große Rest weiß blieb. Das Outfit wirkt wohl hauptsächlich wegen der Farbwahl weiblich, und die langen Haare des Male-Models unterstreichen dieses feminine Bild natürlich noch zusätzlich.
Das Label arbeitet auch viel mit transparenten Stoffen oder mit Cut-Outs im Materialien, zum Beispiel in der Kombination aus Longsleeve mit Oversize T-Shirt und Bleistiftrock. In regelmäßigem Abstand sind transparente Kreise auf dem schwarzen Stoff zu sehen. Im nächsten Look wird das T-Shirt bereits von einem Mann getragen. Hier wird es mit Jacke und kurzen Hosen kombiniert, welche offwhite gefärbt und mit einem schwarzen, abstrakten Muster verziert sind. Jeremy Laing unterscheidet in seinen Kollektionen nicht zwischen Frau und Mann und kreiert so für beide Geschlechter außergewöhnliche Mode.

The Canadian Designer Jeremy Laing spent his childhood in Germany. Many of you might wonder whether he bears the sentiment of a German. Well, in the end, this aspect is definitely irrelevant. His fashion is in the center and let me assure you, his fashion looks thrilling. What really strikes the eye is the fact that he doesn’t seem to distinguish between female and male. Instead his designs appear to be mainly unisex. Sometimes however, they emphasize the female side of a man and the boyish side of a woman.
This is apparent in one outfit in particular, consisting of short pants, a t-shirt and a jacket. The T-shirt is pink and is defined by a giant pocket in the abdominal region. The pants are painted with rose and orange nuances, which seem very smudgy. The seams of the coat are rosé, while the rest is white. The outfit probably only appears feminine due to the colors. The long hair of the male model emphasizes the feminine aura additionally.
The label also works with many transparent fabrics or cut-outs. One combination made of a longsleeve with an oversize T-shirt and a pencil skirt represents this tendency well. Separated by steady intervals, transparent circles can be seen on the red fabric. The next look includes a T-shirt worn by a man. Here, the jacket is worn with short pants which are colored in off-white and embellished with black and abstract patterns. Jeremy Laing doesn’t take gender segregation into consideration, creating extraordinary garments for both women and men.
