Schuhhersteller gibt es mittlerweile wie Sand am Meer, heute heißt die Devise: Um jeden Preis auffallen! Xperimental Shoes entstammt aus den Ideen zweier brillanter Köpfe, die verstehen, wie man seine Leidenschaft für Mode und Kommunikation verbindet und die Welt mit wunderschönem Schuhwerk beglücken kann. Celia hat ihren Abschluss in Modedesign absolviert und hat in ganz Portugal ihre modischen Fußabdrücke hinterlassen. Ana Margarida favorisierte eher eine kommunikative Laufbahn und ist heute auf diversen Modeplattformen kein unbekannter Name.
Xperimental Shoes entstand, als die beiden Frauen zusammentrafen und über kreative Herausforderungen philosophierten. Ab da an haben sie es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, Leder mal ganz anders zu nutzen und Sohlen avantgardistisch in Form zu bringen. Ihr Ziel: ein brandneues Schuhkonzept an die Frau zu bringen. Das ist ihnen, wie ich finde, gelungen.
„Akira Tan“, „Misuki Love“ und „Sakura Saki“ sind keine japanischen Mangafiguren. Wenn ihr euch nur den „Akira Tan“ anschaut, dann wisst ihr, dass es sich hierbei um unglaublich kreatives Schuhwerk handelt. Die Schuhe haben einen 4cm dicken Keilabsatz, handgefertigt aus Holzblöcken, und besitzen zudem einen doppelten Reißverschluss. Es steht außer Frage, dass Keilabsätze sowieso schon bequemer sind als gewöhnliche Heels. Doch diese sind mit feinstem Kuhleder ummantelt und sind demnach sowohl brillant aussehend als auch komfortabel.
Der „Misuki Love“ erinnert mich durch den Blockabsatz extrem an „Creepers“. Doch beim Material des Absatzes handelt es sich um Kork, was den Schuh viel leichter und angenehmer macht. Der „Sakura Saki“ ist mein persönlicher Liebling. Er hat einen 10,5cm hohen Absatz aus Holz, goldene Reißverschlüsse und besteht aus Kuhleder. Ein absolutes Mode-Must-Have in dieser Saison!

In nowaday’s world you have to do something bold to be recognized. Xperimental Shoes is the creative child of two brilliant minds who wanted to combine their passion for fashion with their passion for communication. And thank God for that because we live in a generation where we can actually get these shoes. Celia has a certificate in fashion design and left her, figuratively speaking, fashion prints all over Portugal. Ana Margarida preferred a more communicative way of life and is now a renowned name on many fashion platforms.
Xperimental shoes came into being when the two of them came across their paths and discussed their life goals. They were looking for creative challenges and voilà: Xperimental Shoes was launched. Following the passion about shoes manufacturing, Xperimental Shoes wants to explore different and innovative leather finishes and thus, creating a new shoe concept.
And that, my friends, went incredibly well. If you took a look at the “Akira Tan’s” you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. They sport a 4cm thick wedge carved out of a wooden plate. Additionally they have a double-sided zipper which will support your feet without squishing them. The shoes are made out of the finest cow leather and look incredibly comfortable! The next name on my list is “Misuki Love”. These bad boys sport an extreme heel which remind me of Creepers. But the material of the heel is cork which makes the shoes much lighter and wearable. The “Sakura Saki” is my personal favorite. It has a 10.5cm high heel made out of wood with golden zippers and cow leather. The must-have of Winter 2013 and 2014.
