Oh Nadi, was machst du bloß mit mir? Ich habe mich sofort in deine Farbenvielfalt und vor allem deine Caps verliebt. Und ohne zu zögern würde ich sogar als Frau sagen: Ja, diese Jacken ziehe ich gerne an! Nur leider sind sie mir im Brust- und Schulterbereich zu weit geschnitten – na logisch. Nichtsdestotrotz haben es mir die Basecaps angetan, da ich selber gerne zu den Kappen greife. Sie sind bunt, sie sind kitschig und total von der Rolle – eben ein bisschen so wie Nadi Studio selbst. Bei Nadis Prints kommt zusammen, was normalerweise als nicht passend empfunden werden könnte: Rosen, fette Goldketten und Camouflage. Und trotzdem ziehen mich die bunten Farben und das überladene Wirrwarr an wie eine Blume die Honigbiene.
Na Di, die chinesischstämmige Designerin, machte an vielen Institutionen Halt, um ihr Wissen und ihre Fertigkeiten im Bereich der Männermode weiter auszubauen, unter anderem auch an dem renommierten St. Martins College. Und erst im just vergangenen Jahr 2013 gründete sie ihr Label Nadi Studio. So etwas verdient Respekt und Anerkkenung! Das dachte sich sicherlich auch die Jury des Premium Young Designers Award, der während der Berlin Fashion Week an insgesamt drei Designer aus verschiedenen Sektionen der Mode überreicht wurde. An dieser Stelle noch mal herzlichen Glückwunsch!
Ihre somit erste Kollektion gilt dem Herbst und Winter 2013/14, also taufrisches Design! Dass Nadi bunt und vielfältig in Farbe und Design ist, wisst ihr ja schon. Was ich allerdings bemerkenswert finde, ist der rote oder besser gesagt farbenfrohe Faden, der sich erkennbar durch die einzelnen Stücke ihrer überschaubaren Kollektion schlängelt. Denn das Türkis, das Rot, das Blau, Schwarz und Orange findet sich in jedem ihrer Stücke und auch in den Caps wieder. Cool und extrovertiert trifft hier auf einen leicht nerdigen Charakter, der die Kollektion sympatisch macht. Sind euch die Hochwasserhosen aufgefallen? Der einzige Anzug in der Kollektion ist für mich ein Highlight, da man hier auch eine straighte Seite der Designerin erleben kann. Mein absolut prolliger Liebling, in der positivsten Art und Weise, ist die Lederjacke mit der aufgedruckten Statement-Kette, da sie mich an Flavor Flav erinnert – Back to the 80ies!!!

Oh Nadi what are you doing to me? I immediately fell in love with your diversity of colors and especially with your caps. And without hesitating even I as a woman would say: Yes, I’d love to wear these jackets! But unfortunately they’re too tight around my chest and shoulders – of course. Nevertheless I really fell for the basecaps because I love wearing such. They’re colorful, corny and totally crazy – just a little like Nadi Studio itself. At Nadi’s prints things that normally couldn’t be considered as matching come together: Roses, big gold chains and camouflage. But yet the bright colors and the confusion attract me like a flower attracts a bumble bee.
Na Di, the designer with a Chinese background, stopped off at many institutions to expand her knowledge and skills about men’s fashion, inter alia at the St. Martins College. Just last year (2013) she founded her label Nadi Studio. This really deserves some respect and recognition. That’s what probably the jury of the Premium Young Designers Award thought. This award got presented to three designers from different sections of fashion. At this point we have to swamp her with congratulations!
Her first collection applies to the fall and winter of 2013/14, so this design is fresh as a daisy! You already know that Nadi is colorful and diverse when it comes to the choice of colors and design. But the thing I really loved about the collection is the feature that always shows up in each of the pieces because the turquoise, the red, the blue, black and orange dominate every single piece and cap. Cool and extroverted meets a slightly nerdy character, which makes this collection really likable. Did you notice the flood-pants? The only suit in this collection definitely is a highlight for me because it shows the designer’s straight side. My absolute favorite is the leather jacket which has a statement necklace print. It kind of reminds me of Flavor Flav – Back to the 80s!!!
