Maria Francesca Pepe macht Schmuck mit Leidenschaft. Die Designs kommen aus Italien und sind dementsprechend sinnlich und temperamentvoll. Für die neue Herbst- und Winterkollektion 2013/14 namens „Never is a promise“ hat sich das Label von Tattoos und den Traditionen verschiedener Urvölker sich zu schmücken, inspirieren lassen.
Keine Angst, dem Model wurde nicht die Unterlippe ausgedehnt oder ähnliches. Obwohl das Ausdehnen der Ohrläppchen durch große Teller als Ohrringe angedeutet wird. Das Label arbeitet sehr viel mit Ketten in dieser Kollektion und auch generell. Dabei fungieren sie als Bindeglieder, oder aber ganz einfach als Schmuck selbst. Es kommt auch schon mal vor, dass sich die Ketten wie ein BH um den Oberkörper arrangieren. Oft sind dann Nieten oder verschiedene Anhänger zusätzlich an den Ketten angebracht. Diese Ketten treten auch als Kopfschmuck auf und legen sich in ein paar Kurven über das Haupt und Gesicht.
Diese Ketten verbinden sich auch nicht selten mit einem Septumpiercing. Dazu reicht aber auch schon ein Ohrring. Diese sind nicht selten ganze Plättchen, die das äußere Ohr abdecken. Während sie eher einen mystischen Hintergrund haben, zeigt sich die Inspiration durch Tattoos besonders durch einen langen, massiven Armreif, der zwei blaue Rosen und ein gebrochenes Herz aufweist. Das Motiv ist eindeutig einem Oldschool Tattoo nachempfunden und wirkt auf dem Arm wie der Schmuck einer Superheldin.
Maria Francesca Pepe trifft mit ihrem Schmuck exakt den Puls der Zeit. Die Ketten, die Ringe, ob am ganzen Körper oder nur an gewohnten Stellen, der Schmuck ist neu und auch gewagt, aber doch ohne weiteres tragbar.

Maria Francesca Pepe creates jewelry with a lot of passion. The designs come from Italy and therefore are sensual and indeed very hot-tempered. For the latest fall and winter collection 2013/14 called “Never is a promise” the label has been inspired by cultural tattoos and the traditions of different primitive people.
Don’t worry. The mannequins didn’t get their lips stretched or something along the lines. Though their stretched ears do somewhat remind you of ethnically inspired jewelry. The label tends to install many necklaces into the collections. They are used as connectors or serve their actual purpose as a piece of jewelry. Sometimes, the necklaces are arranged and wrapped around the torso and breasts like a bra. Often, studs and different pendants are attached to them. But there are also necklaces wich are placed around the head, some of them hanging loosely and delicately in the face.
The necklaces are attached to the nasal septum piercing of the wearer and her earrings which often represent whole sheets covering the entire ear. While the earrings and necklaces seem to have a mystical background, tattoo art seems to inspire the bracelet which sports two blue roses and a broken heart. The motif definitely resembles an oldschool tattoo and appears like the jewelry of a super heroine.
Maria Francesca Pepe definitely has one finger on the pulse of time. The necklaces, the rings, no matter whether covering the entire body or just the usual parts are innovative and daring, but they are still quite wearable.
