Yaniv Persy wurde im Jahre 1978 in Israel geboren, zog später aber nach Südamerika und anschließend im Alter von 29 in die Modehauptstadt Paris. Auf dem Weg nach oben hat er mit zahlreichen großen Namen der Modebranche zusammen gearbeitet wie John Galliano oder auch Roberto Cavalli. Spätestens nachdem er auch Preise gewonnen hat, wussten alle, die was von Mode verstanden, von ihm. Nach Kollaborationen mit Donna Karan, Lanvin und Apostrophe gründete er schlussendlich sein eigenes Label namens Persy Ltd. und über seinen Schmuck möchte ich euch heute berichten!
Persy hat insgesamt vier Schmuckkollektionen raus gebracht: Futuristic Frida Kahlo Jewelry, Insects Jewelry Collection, Victorian Jewelry Collection und Crucify Jewelry Collection. Die erste Kollektion ist, wie der Name schon andeutet, sehr futuristisch gestaltet: scharfe Ecken und Kanten, klar geschliffene Steine und klare Formen. Gold, Silber und Kristalle wurden hier gekonnt in Szene gesetzt und kombiniert. Meine Favoriten sind auf jeden Fall die goldenen Ohrstecker. Sie sind sowohl elegant, als auch verspielt.
Die nächste Kollektion stellt Insekten ins Zentrum – ohne sie zu sehr zu verbildlichen. Durch geschickte Handarbeit verstecken sich in Ketten und Ringen kristallbesetzte Insekten aus Glas oder Juwelen…Man kann sie meist erst auf den zweiten Blick erkennen. Die letzten zwei Kollektionen sind eher schwer und sehen äußerst wertvoll und prunkvoll aus. Mit den vielen Details von Fransen bis hin zu Stoffen verzieren viele verschiedene Akzente die Grundelemente wie Silber und Gold.

Yaniv Persy was born in Israel in 1978, raised in South America and moved to Paris at the age of 29. The typical Parisian Flair inspired him to be a designer and on the way to the top. He collaborated with fashion designers like John Galliano and Roberto Cavalli. After having won a decent amount of awards, even the last Parisian and fashion groupie knew about him. He worked together with Lanvin, Donna Karan and Apostrophe, just to name a few. He then founded his own label Persy Ltd.
After this short introduction I’d like to show you some of my favorite pieces out of his 4 collections. The first collection looks really futuristic (hence the name) and clean. Sharp edges and clear forms create a very clean and organized appearance. I really like the golden earrings; they look elegant as well as playful.
The next collection centers on insects without literally putting them into the jewelry. Due to crafty hands they sit in the midst of gold and silver without appearing too obvious. The last two collections look really pompous and heavy with details like fringes and clashes of materials. I really like how they are individual and yet you are able to combine them with nearly everything.
