Nachdem ich bereits 2 Blogeinträge über Irregular Choice verfasst habe (Links am Ende der Seite), habe ich das Gefühl, dass ich Dan Sullivan, Genie und Designer in und auswendig kenne.
Nachdem er damals seine innovative Marke zusammen mit seinen Eltern gelauncht hatte, musste er irgendwie an die besten Lieferanten und Verkäufer kommen. Er beschloss, ihr Vertrauen dadurch zu gewinnen, indem er ihnen einfach Testpakete zukommen ließ. Er produzierte in kleinen Mengen, sodass sie einen Vorgeschmack von seiner Arbeit hatten und nachdem auch ihnen der Erfolg der Schuhe bei den Fans und Kunden nicht verborgen blieb, stand nichts mehr im Weg zwischen Dan Sullivan und einer rosigen Zukunft.
Neben seiner farbenfrohen Schuhkollektion für Frauen hat der begnadete Designer auch eine ganze Kollektion nur für Männer heraus gebracht. Ob aus Holz oder mit kleinen Anhängern, dicke Stoffe oder ungewöhnliche Farbkombinationen – die Schuhe sind alles andere als einfach. Sein Ideen und Designs scheuen sich nicht vor irgendeine Art von Stoffen, Dan benutzt sie alle: ob Leder, Samt, Fell, Spielzeuge oder Glas – alles wird verwendet.
Jedes Jahr kreiert Sullivan über 600 (!) neue Designs und hat damit internationalen Erfolg. Seine Kreationen werden in hunderten von Läden auf der ganzen Welt vertrieben und seine eigenen Stores sind in London, Brighton, Leicester und Hong Kong zu finden. Doch dafür seid ihr nicht hier. Wie ihr sehen könnt, sind die Schuhe äußerst elegant ohne bieder zu wirken. Toecaps machen die Schuhe zum Eye-Catcher, Leoparden-Prints geben dem Outfit ein gewisses RAWR ohne billig zu wirken. Alles in Allem ist hier einfach für jeden etwas dabei!

After having posted two blog posts about Irregular Choice I feel like I know this guy, Dan Sullivan by heart. This genius of a designer also has an amazing repertoire of shoes for men. He made sure of the retailer’s confidence by being successful and able to produce small orders so they could test out the product. After having gained their trust he had absolutely nothing standing in his way and the production of his collections. From ornate wood carbings, tiny intricate charms and lavish fabrics to memorable color combinations, everybody and their dog has an Irregular Choice favourite shoe. His library of fabrics, leather, trims, toys, glass, furs and colors seems like it’s simply never ending!
Each year Sullivan creates over 600 (!) different styles of shoes, jewelry and handbags – it’s basically an ever expanding creative process. After having said all of this we can look on today’s success: Irregular Choice has evolved with great strides over the past decade. It is now sold through hundreds of stockists around the world and hast five of its own stores across the globe. Two in London, One in Brighton, One in Leicester and the first flagship stores in Hong Kong.
But you guys are here to see some of Dan’s shoe creations for the male part of the world. Its elegant as well as boyish. The designs are daunting and cheerful but don’t lose touch of the masculine side.
