Der Londoner Nasir Mazhar präsentiert in der neuen Frühlings- und Sommerkollektion 2014 sportliche, toughe Männer, die Mode allerdings nicht allzu ernst nehmen. Sie wirken kurios und treten auf mit Kopfschutz und Wirbelsäulenstütze, mit Neoprenärmeln und sogar Knieschienen. Die muskelbepackten, kantigen Models wirken wie Möbelpacker oder doch eher Boxer. Dennoch treten sie in äußerst extravaganten und exzentrischen Looks auf.
Nasir Mazhar nimmt Mode in der Tat nicht allzu ernst. Die Hauptsache ist, dass es Spaß macht. Wenn so ein knallharter Junge mit eisernem Blick und angriffslustigem, sicheren Schritt auf einen zukommt, aber einen rosarot-weißen Overall trägt, muss man trotz allem schmunzeln. Spätestens aber bei dem Look, bei dem das Model einen Putzeimer mit aufgeklebten Augen, Ohren und Zunge auf dem Kopf trägt, ist aber klar, dass es wohl auch nicht auf Ernsthaftigkeit abzielt.
Trotzdem sind die Looks auch tragbar. Denn es handelt sich um Sportkleidung, die locker und lässig geschnitten ist, wie das graue Ensemble aus Hose und Pulli, das zu dem Eimer getragen wird. Besonders beeindruckend sieht dabei eine dunkelgrüne Sporthose aus, welche schwarze Innenseiten und Außentaschen hat. Schwarze Querstreifen unterstreichen den sportlichen Aspekt noch zusätzlich.
Das Oberteil wird weggelassen und zu sehen ist der durchtrainierte und tätowierte Oberkörper des Models. Bei diesem Anblick vergisst man schon mal, dass das Model überhaupt eine Hose trägt. Nasir Mazhar bringt in die sonst viel zu ernste Modewelt etwas Spaß hinein. Nicht nur die Präsentation selbst sondern auch die Designs tragen wohl dazu bei.

For the Spring/Summer Collection 2014, London designer Nasir Mazhar presents sporty, tough men – who don’t take fashion too seriously though. They look curious and present themselves in head guards, spinal column stabilizer, neoprene sleeves and even knee splints. The ripped, rough models look like movers or maybe boxers. And still they do wear really extravagant and eccentric looks.
Nasir Mazhar truly does not take fashion too seriously. The main point is having fun. For example when a tough as nails boy with a glance of iron and a belligerent, safe step is walking toward you – wearing a pink and white overall, you’ll end up giggling a little. At latest when you see the look where the model is wearing a bucket with eyes, ears and a tongue pasted to it on his head you’ll know that sobriety is not the aim.
Still the looks are wearable. Because it is sports clothing with light and casual cuts like the grey pants and sweater ensemble worn with the bucket. The dark green sweatpants look especially impressive; it has a black inner face and outer pockets. Black cross stripes further underline the sporty aspect.
No tops are worn to show the model’s ripped and tattooed body. With such a view you tend to forget the model is even wearing pants. Nasir Mazhar brings a lot of fun into the usually serious fashion world. Not only the way he presents it, but also the designs play an important part here.
