Auch Sara Phillips erinnert wieder an naturgebundene Völker. Wenn wir die bunten Drucke, die auf einem glänzenden, seidigen Stoff platziert worden sind, sehen, dann denken wir an Traumfänger und bunte Kriegsbemalungen. Die schwarz-weißen Prints scheinen aber eher von Höhlenmalereien abgeleitet zu sein, um zu dokumentieren, was einmal war und was dennoch nie an Ästhetik verloren hat.
Natürlich ist es wie bei so vielem: Die Mischung macht’s. Das bunte Muster überzieht eine langärmlige Bluse und der kurze Rock dazu ist hauptsächlich schwarz. Vom asymmetrischen Saum aus scheinen Speere und Pfeile auf einen helleren Punkt inmitten des Rockes zu zeigen – auf ein Licht. Irgendwie wirkt das Design mystisch und metaphysisch, als würde es etwas Übernatürliches darstellen.
Bei einem anderen Look handelt es sich um ein kurzes Kleid, bei dem ebenfalls die Innenwand einer dunklen Höhle aufgedruckt ist. Das Kleid hat lange Ärmel, doch hängen diese locker am Arm herunter und bedecken diesen nicht wie gewöhnlich. Sara Phillips verbindet mit ihren Designs Gegensätze – Farbe mit Schwarz-Weißem, Leichtigkeit mit Ehrfurcht – und erzielt damit eine perfekte Mischung, eine Ausgewogenheit.

Sara Phillips’ fashion reminds you of primitive peoples. When I looked at the colorful prints on shiny, silky cloth I immediately had to think of dream catchers and colorful war paint. The black and white prints appear to be inspired by cave paintings in order to show what has been once upon a time and still has not lost its aesthetics.
Of course a common rule applies here: The mixture is the essence. The colorful pattern covers a long-sleeved blouse while the skirt is primarily black. From the asymmetrical seam spears and arrows appear to be pointing at a bright dot in the middle of the skirt – a light. The design is kind of mystical and metaphysical; it kind of resembles something supernatural.
Another look consists of a short dress with cave paintings on it. The dress has long sleeves that are loosely covering the arms. With her designs, Sara Phillips unites the basic laws of fashion – color with black and white, ease with awe – and this results in a perfect mix, pure harmony.
