Monique Lhuiller, aufgewachsen auf den Philippinen, entdeckte früh ihre Liebe zur Mode und entschied sich schließlich auch, diesem Drang nachzugehen und in L.A. Mode zu studieren. Heute hat sie ihr eigenes Label und präsentiert für den Frühling und Sommer 2014 eine Mischung aus Weiß, Pink, Orange und Braun. Die Kreationen sind allesamt sehr weiblich und schick. Die Designs fallen entweder durch die liebevolle und aufwändige Verzierung auf oder durch ihre Schlichtheit und ihr integriertes Volumen und oft auch durch ihre leuchtenden Farben.
Ein kurzer Jumper aus bildschöner Chantilly-Spitze wurde mit Steinchen aufwändig verziert. Man findet einige orange-rosane Blümchen auf dem weißen Stoff aufgestickt. Der Jumper selbst ist zwar kurz, doch die Ärmel sind lang und so glänzt nicht bloß der Körper, sondern auch die Arme sehr einladend wie ein kleiner Stern.
Ganz im Gegenteil zu diesem sehr aufwändigen Stück präsentiert sich das Ensemble aus langem Rock und Bandeau fast schon schlicht, doch mit etwas Volumen mindestens genauso eindrucksvoll. Sowohl das pinke Bandeau als auch der orange Maxirock sind aus Seide und liefern zusammen ein richtiges Feuerwerk aus Farben. Während das Top natürlich eng anliegt, geht der Rock nach einem engen Bund an der Taille wie eine umgedrehte Tulpe auf. Ein großer Schlitz vorne lässt dann einen Blick auf ein nacktes Knie erhaschen. Monique Lhuillier überzeugt mit viel Weiblichkeit. Diese kann filigran und zurückhaltend auftreten oder uns erdrücken in einer herrlichen Wucht. Das Label lässt einen mit großen Augen und aufgerissenem Mund zurück.

Monique Lhuiller, born in the Philippines, found her love for fashion early on. She decided to go to L.A. to study fashion because of that love. Today she has her own label and presents a mix of white, pink, orange and brown for Spring and Summer 2014. All of the creations are very neat and feminine. The designs strike with their lovely and elaborate adornments or with their subtleness and the volume, the bright colors also play an important role.
A short jumper made of wonderful Chantilly lace was elaborated decorated with rhinestones. You can see some orange and pink blossoms here and there embroidered on the white cloth. Even though the jumper is short, it has long sleeves. Thus not only is the body complemented, but also the arms.
Another garment is the exact opposite to the very lavish jumper, it is a long skirt and a bandeau and you could almost call it subtle already. However, with the volume it has it is at least just as stunning. The pink bandeau as well as the orange maxi skirt are made of silk and present a lot of colors. While the top of course is tight, the skirt looks like an upside down tulip starting at the tight waistband. A big slit on the front reveals the knees. Monique Lhuillier again convinced us with a lot of femininity. It can be filigree and subtle or stun us with its intensity. The label’s designs are real jawdroppers.
