A.F. Vandevorst präsentiert verschiedene und doch wieder gleiche Ansätze in ihrer Herbst- und Winterkollektionen 2013. Das Label ist sehr breit gefächert und zeigt zweimal im Jahr, wie sich eine Frau ihrer Meinung nach von Kopf bis Fuß stylen sollte. Das heißt, das Designerteam schickt nicht bloß zwei verschiedene Kleiderkollektionen auf den Laufsteg, sondern auch Schuhe und Accessoires. Die Kleiderlinien gehen dabei zwar in unterschiedliche Richtungen, doch sind auch Gemeinsamkeiten klar zu erkennen.
So werden beide Kollektionen von der Farbe Schwarz dominiert. Die „Women’s Wear“-Kollektion ist besonders von der düstersten aller Farben gezeichnet. Bis auf drei weiße Looks ist alles sehr finster aber trotzdem verspielt. Ein Ensemble aus einem trägerlosen Top mit einem Schößchen an der Taille und engen Baggies mit aufgenähten Taschen an den Seiten ist besonders von diesem Stil geprägt. Die Hosen verleihen dem Outfit etwas Militärisches. Was eine weitere stilistische Besonderheit darstellt, sind die Perücken, die von den Models getragen werden. Sie verdecken nämlich mit dem Pony das halbe Gesicht und rücken damit die Kleidung noch mehr in den Vordergrund.
Auch bei der „A Friend“-Kollektion ist Schwarz ein wichtiger Bestandteil. Doch wird hier erstmals auch etwas Farbe eingebracht. Rot lächelt uns von einer wirklich gemütlich aussehenden Jacke und den dazu passenden Schuhen an. Mit der großen Kapuze wirkt das Model wie ein geheimnisvolles Rotkäppchen. A.F. Vandevorst präsentiert Mode mit dem gewissen Etwas. Es gibt keinen Look, der nicht staunen lässt, sei es durch Exzentrik und Extravaganz, Ungewöhnlichkeit oder raffinierter Lässigkeit.

A.F. Vandevorst shows different styles, while still sticking to its roots in the fall and winter collection 2013. The label is very versatile and shows how a woman should dress herself from head to toe twice a year. That means not only two different collections are sent to the runway, but also shoes and accessories. The clothing lines go in different directions, but there are obvious similarities.
Both collections are dominated by black. Especially the sp-called “Women’s Wear” collection is marked by this darkest of all colors. Only three white looks bring light into the assortment, while everything is quite playful. An ensemble of a shoulder-off peplum top and straight baggy pants with appliquéd pockets on the sides is also marked by this style. The pants bring a military touch into the outfit. Another feature is the wigs that are worn by the models. They, in particular, cover half of the face with their bangs and therefore highlight the garments once more.
Also the “A Friend” collection focuses on black. But here, you will also find a bit of color. Red is smiling at us from a very cozy-looking jacket and matching shoes. With the big hoodie the model looks like a mysterious Red Riding Hood. A.F. Vandeforst presents fashion with that certain something. There’s no look which doesn’t surprise us with eccentricity or sophisticated laxity.
