In unserer modernen Gesellschaft vergisst man leicht einmal, wo die Wurzeln des Menschen eigentlich liegen und was noch vor Zivilisation und Technik war.
Maharishi erinnert an eine Zeit, in der sich die Menschen noch nicht entschieden haben, ihr Nomadenleben aufzugeben und sich niederzulassen. Sie sind Jäger und Sammler, sind auf Natur und ihr eigenes Geschick angewiesen und natürlich ihre Tarnkleidung, was zum Jagen unverzichtbar ist.
Das Thema für die Herbst/Winterkollektion 2013 ist also Camouflage. Die große Pelzjacke mit Kapuze verleiht dem Model ein Fell und verwandelt ihn ganz schnell in einen Bären oder wohl eher eine schwarze Version von Bigfoot. Die Hosen dazu sind ebenfalls dunkel aber aus normalem Denim, vermutlich. Die Schuhe sind hoch zugeschnürt und erlaufen festen Tritt in unsicherem Gelände.
Die Kollektion ist aber auch ein wenig in die moderne geholt worden. Sie thematisiert ebenfalls das Problem, dass sich so mancher Jäger doch zu gut tarnt und schließlich selbst von seinen Jägerkollegen nicht mehr gesehen wird, was immer wieder tödlich endet. Deshalb hat Maharishi neben all der Funktionskleidung auch einen Anzug im Sortiment. Darauf ist ein düsterer Wald abgebildet, dessen Bäume aber leuchtend orange Früchte tragen, was die Tarnung etwas auffliegen lässt. Die Designs von Maharishi sind sehr modern und sowohl funktional als auch stilistisch wirklich überzeugend und begeisternd.

Maharishi reminds us of a time when humans haven’t yet taken the important step of giving up their lives as nomads to create permanent settlements. Maharishi’s ideal human is a hunter and a gatherer. They depend on nature and their own abilities. Hunting and protecting themselves from dangerous animals also meant hiding: Therefore camouflage is a motif defining this collection.
The topic of the fall and winter collection 2013 accordingly is camouflage. The large, hooded fur jacket gives the model warmth and turns him into a hunter in a world made of ice and snow. The pants are dark as well, but made of ordinary denim. The combat boots are laced up and enable the wearer to even move through the most misanthropic territory without any problems.
Nonetheless, the collection exists in the here and now, marked by modern influences. For this reason, Maharishi also offers a suit apart from the very functional clothing. A sinister and dark forest with trees full of orange fruits is printed on the suit, which does make this actually noble clothing ensemble very extravagant. The designs by Maharishi are modern despite their reference to the past. They are functional as well as convincing and impressive when it comes to their design.
