Tata Christiane wendet sich an den Freak in den Menschen. Dabei wird vor allem in der Frühling/Sommer 2014 Kollektion die Inspiration aus einem makaberen und verrückten Event geschöpft. Es nennt sich ,,Bloody Monday“ und erinnert an den Montag, an dem Brenda Ann Spencer in die Grundschule von Cleveland trat und zwei Personen tötete und neun weitere verletzte. Wieso sie das tat? „I don’t like Mondays, nobody likes Mondays.“, war das Einzige, was sie dazu sagte. Dazu kreiert Tata Christiane, im Gegensatz zu der düsteren Tat, eine überraschend sehr bunte Kollektion.
Es wird hauptsächlich mit Prints gearbeitet, die Puppenköpfe zeigen, welche in der hohen Dichte schließlich zu einem Muster verschwimmen. Daraus wurde eine lockere, leichte Tunika geschneidert, die von Ihm oder auch Ihr getragen werden kann. Die strahlend blauen Augen einer Puppe funkeln einen daraus an und treiben einen fast in den Wahnsinn – so eindringlich, so unschuldig, so verrückt.
Ein anderes Outfit setzt sich aus einem ärmellosen, lockeren T-Shirt und einer kurzen Hose zusammen. Die Hose sieht dabei aus wie eine riesige Männerunterhose. Verschiedene Handy-Aufdrücke sind darauf zu finden, genauso wie auf den Stulpen, die sich voluminös um die Waden schlingen.
Tata Christiane erinnert an eine Tragödie und stellt kurzerhand die Models wie Puppen dar. Als wären wir alle doch nur Puppen in einem geregelten System, Sklaven der Zwänge unserer Gesellschaft. Und wie man bei Chucky schon sah, können Puppen auch mal verrückt werden.

Tata Christiane turns to the freak in the people. Thereby especially in the Spring/Summer Collection 2014 the inspiration is fetched from a bizarre and crazy event. It is called “Bloody Monday” and is supposed to remind of the Monday on that Brenda Ann Spencer stepped into the school of Cleveland, killed two persons and injured 9 others. Why did she do this? “I don’t like Mondays, nobody likes Mondays.”, was the only thing she said to that. Further, Tata Christiane has a surprisingly bright and colorful collection in contrast to the rather dark act.
Primarily the label works with prints; they show heads of puppets that become a pattern in the high numbers of prints. Out of it they cut a light and airy tunic, which can be worn by him or her. The shining blue eyes of one of the puppets are twinkling at you and almost make you crazy. – So intriguing, so innocent, so crazy.
Another outfit is put together from a sleeveless and loose t-shirt and a short trouser. The trousers look like a huge pair of undies for men. Different cellphone prints can be found on them, same with the cuffs, which are voluminously looping around the calves.
Tata Christiane reminds of a tragedy and makes the models into puppets on the spot. Like we are all just poppets in an ordinary system, slaves of the constraints of society. And as you can see when looking at Chucky, it is clear that even puppets can go crazy.
