Mit dem Ziel, Weiblichkeit und vor allem die verführerischen Aspekte aus einer Frau zu kitzeln, kreiert Georges Hobeika Couture vom Feinsten.
Von kräftigem Rot bis hin zu klarem Weiß sind alle Farbabstufungen in der Herbst/Winter Kollektion 2013/14 verwendet worden. Typisch weiblich werden Taille und Hüfte betont. Somit sind die oberen Teile der Kreationen meist eng, während in der unteren Partie viel Volumen zum Einsatz kommt.
Besonders übertrieben wird das bei einem weißen Hochzeitskleid. Der Oberkörper ist eng eingeschnürt und mit einem Blumenmuster bestickt, dessen Ranken sogar über die Arme hinunter führen. Es könnte eigentlich ein langes, anliegendes Kleid sein, wenn da nicht dieses Volumen zu beiden Seiten der Hüfte wäre. Dort wird ein durchschimmernder Stoff verwendet, im Gegensatz zum Rest des Kleides. Doch auch dort wird das Blumenmuster weitergeführt und sogar noch dreidimensionaler gemacht. Eine Handarbeit, welche wohl Wochen, Monate und vor allem jede Menge Nerven gekostet haben muss.
Ein anderes Element, welchem in dieser Kollektion viel Aufmerksamkeit zukommt, ist der Mühlsteinkragen. Lang ist’s her, dass der „in“ war, also eigentlich höchste Zeit für ihn, wieder in Mode zu kommen. Das Label verwendet ihn mehr oder weniger als Accessoire. Es wird zu Kleidern aber auch Mänteln getragen. Wie zu dem dunkelrot, glänzenden, langärmligen und figurunbetonten Mantel. Er wirkt fromm und eher kontrolliert.
Georges Hobeika geht in verschiedene Richtungen. Einmal sind die Designs blumig verspielt, das andere Mal steif und kontrolliert. Was aber konstant bleibt, ist das Feminine und Verführerische – und die viele Arbeit, die in jedem einzelnen Stück steckt.

With the aim to tease the femininity and all the sensual aspects of a woman out, Georges Hobeika makes Couture at its finest.
From a strong red over to plain white there are all colors used in the Fall/Winter Collection 2013/14. Typical for feminine cuts the waist and hip are emphasized. Thus they upper parts of his creations are often tight, while the lower part has a lot of volume.
This is especially exaggerated with the white wedding dress. The upper body is tightly constricted and embroidered with flower patterns, whose vines even go over the sleeves. It actually could be a long, slim-fit dress, if there wasn’t so much volume on both sides of the hip. A gleaming cloth is used there, as a contrast to the rest of the dress. The flower pattern can be seen there as well and even made more three dimensional. This dress is a handmade masterpiece which most likely took months and especially a lot of nerves.
Another element, which gets a lot of attention in this collection, is the neck brace. It has been a long time since this garment was “in”, so it’s about time it gets fashionable again. The label uses it as an accessory. It is worn with dresses but also with coats. For example with the dark red, shining, long sleeves and slim-fit coat. The coat seems devout and rather contained.
Georges Hobeika goes many different ways. On the one hand his design are playful with flowers, on the other hand they are stiff and contained. What really stays constant are the feminine and sensual aspects – and all the passion, which is put into each single piece.
