Das war Berliner Flair! Von einem 13-köpfigen Zusammenschluss der HTW Berlin wurde am Freitag, den 12.10.2013, in einem ehemaligen, ausgeräumten Supermarkt, gegenüber vom S- und U-Bahnhof Jannowitzbrücke die Abschlusskollektion eben dieser Studenten präsentiert. Und das alles circa 150 Meter vom Alex, dem Hotspot in Mitte, entfernt.
Die wiederum hoodige, alternative Kulisse lud seine circa 300 Gäste am frühen Abend um 21:00 und bot eine gute halbe Stunde Fashion, Fashion, Fashion.
Bereits eine Stunde vor dem tatsächlichen Einlass bildete sich eine fette Traube vor dem Eingang, ähnlich einer, die man sonst von der nicht weit entfernten, ehemaligen Bar 25 erwarten würde. Im Endeffekt ist es doch so, welche Gäste sind die Schönsten? Die Spätesten! Also, welche Acts sind die Besten?
Im Gegensatz zu leicht zischelnden Zungen fanden wir, dass die akademische Show-Verspätung die Spannung nur noch mehr aufheizte. Als es dann so weit war, liefen die Models der einzelnen Designer durch die Menge hindurch. Laufsteg? Keine Chance. Wir machen das hier nach Urban Style, mit weißem Klebeband wurde rund rum durch den Raum der Catwalk abgeklebt, dem die Models folgten.
So bekam fast jeder der Zuschauer das unvergleichbare Gefühl, in der Front Row zu sitzen/stehen. Irgendwie sympathisch, oder? Abgesehen davon, sind den 13 Designern neben der geglückten Abschluss-Präsentation auch Glückwünsche für die Organisation dieses Events auszusprechen. Ohne Subventionen zogen sie die Finanzierung, Organisation und Umsetzung dieses Abends allein auf. Respekt! Zumal für alles gesorgt war und es an nichts Wesentlichem fehlte.
Nach der gelungenen Veranstaltung wurde der Oversize-Catwalk gerockt, was dem lässigen Publikum nicht allzu schwer fiel, nach dem sich die 13 Designer mit dem Michael Jackson Klassiker „Beat it“ von der Bühne, sichtlich erleichtert, verabschiedeten.
Es war ein überdurchschnittlich angenehmer Abend, und wenn man es so wie die meisten Designer und Gäste an diesem Abend tat, ging man nach dem Event noch ausgelassen feiern.
Obwohl jede Kollektion der Jungdesigner etwas Charakteristisches für sich hatte, lassen wir es uns nicht nehmen, unsere best of the best ofs vorzustellen.

Now that was Berlin flair! By a group of 13 people from the HTW Berlin on Friday, the 12.10.2013 there was a huge graduation collection by these 13 students. The event took place in an old, emptied super market on the opposite side of the S- and U-Bahnhof Jannowitzbrücke. And all this is about 150 meters from the Alexanderplatz, the hotspot in Berlin Mitte.
The urban and alternative backdrop invited about 300 guests at the beginning of the evening at 9pm and offered half an hour of fashion, fashion, fashion. Already an hour before the actual admission, there were tons of people waiting in front of the entrance. Similar to what you would except from the Bar 25. In the end it’s about who are the prettiest guests? The ones who come late! So, which are the best acts?
In contrary to the hissing tongues we thought that the academic show-delay just created even more excitement. As it finally started, the models were walking through the crowd. Catwalk? No chance. We do this the urban style, with white tape taped all over the room, which resembles the catwalk.
This way almost the whole audience had the feeling of being right in the front row. Kind of sympathetic, isn’t it? Aside from that, the 13 designers didn’t only get praised for a great ending presentation, but also got congratulations for such a great organization of this event. Without any subsidies they financed, planned and organized this event on their own. Particularly they took care of everything and there was nothing essential missing this evening.
After the successful event, the oversize catwalk was rocked, that wasn’t all too hard for the nonchalant audience. After the 13 designers said farewell, they showed obvious relief and played Michael Jackson’s classic song “Beat It”. It was an outstandingly pleasant evening, and if you did I the same way the most designers and guests did, you casually went partying after it. Even though each collection from the young designers has it’s very own character, we are going to show you the best of the best ofs:
