Geb. 1982, ist Marc Uwe ein Deutscher Liedermacher, Autor und Kabarettist. Marc Uwe studierte Philosophie und Theater-Wissenschaften an der Freien Universität Berlin und seit 2003 tritt er auf Berliner Bühnen auf. Sein Soloprogram „Wenn alle Stricke reißen, kann man sich nicht mal mehr aufhängen“ verschaffte ihm den Berliner Durchbruch. Angespornt vom Erfolg ging er auf Tournee.
Am berühmtesten sind seine sogenannten Känguru-Chroniken, in welchen er als Protagonist in einer WG mit einem Känguru lebt und allerlei Alltagsabenteuer erlebt. Diese laufen auch im Berliner Fritz Radio, gesprochen von ihm selbst. Witze mit doppeltem Boden und politischem Biss sind seine Spezialität, welche ihn so beliebt macht. Also holt euch eines seiner Bücher, ich kann sie nur empfehlen, oder geht mal auf seine Lesebühne, Lesedüne, die am 14.10 im SO36 Berlin-Kreuzberg stattfindet!

Born in 1982, Marc Uwe is a German song writer, author and cabaret artist. Uwe pursued his studies in philosophy and dramatics at the Freie Universität in Berlin. Since 2003, he has been performing on various stages in Berlin. His solo performance “Wenn alle Stricke reißen, kann man sich nicht mal mehr aufhängen” truly was the base of his career, his breaththrough. The title of the performance is a pun and means something like „If all ropes are torn, you can’t even hang yourself.’’ , while the English equivalent of “If all ropes are torn” would be “When the chips are down”. Fueled by this success, he went on tour.
One of his most famous works is his so-called “Kangaroo Chronicles” in which he is living with a kangaroo in a flat-sharing community, experiencing all kinds of everyday life adventures. These chronicles are on the Berlin radio channel Fritz Radio and are all performed by himself. Jokes which truly can be considered deep and political topics are his specialty which makes him so popular. Considering all this, you should really buy his book or attend his live-reading performance “Lesedüne” in the club SO36 in Berlin Kreuzberg.
