Schon seit Jahrzenten machen sich Menschen immer konkretere Gedanken darüber, wie das Leben wohl auf den anderen Planeten aussehen könnte. Die Phantasie entfaltete und kreuzte sich mit den bekannten wissenschaftlichen Fakten. Ende der 30er Jahre brachte eine US-Amerikanische, wissenschaftliche Zeitung einen Bericht heraus, wie man sich das Leben auf Neptun, Pluto und Co. vorstellen könne. Es sind zwar nur Annahmen, aber diese sind so schön gestaltet und allemal einen Blick wert.
So dachte man sich, dass das Leben auf Neptun aquatisch und amphibisch wäre, da man davon ausging, er bestehe zum Großteil aus Wasser. Marsbewohner hingegen hätten hünenhaft groß sein können aufgrund der geringen Anziehungskraft. Aber ich will euch nicht zu viel verraten, seht es selbst und schmunzelt ein wenig über die schönen Bilder.

For many decades, humanity has been wondering what life could look like on other planets. Fantasy was the driving force when it came to this unexplored field, influenced by known, scientific facts. At the end of the 30ies, an American scientific magazine published an article about how you can imagine life on Neptune, Pluto and the other planets in our solar system. The article merely consisted of assumptions. Nonetheless, there is a certain artistic aspect and creativity behind these conceptions that taking a look at the article is definitely worth it.
People thought that life on Neptune was aquatic and amphibious because it was assumed that the surface of Neptune was mainly made of water. Mars inhabitants were said to be extremely tall due to the low gravity. But I really don’t want to spoil the fun. Go and see for yourself.
