„Aus Alt mach Neu“, lautet ein Sprichwort. Bei Riccardo Forconi wird es aber genau umgekehrt gehandhabt. Das Label stellt neue Gürtel her und lässt sie mit einer gezielten Behandlung alt aussehen.
Feinstes Leder wird verwendet und mit Nieten, Swarovskisteinchen, Natursteinen oder sogar alten Münzen verziert. Zudem wird das Leder mit verschiedenen Färbe- und Manipulationsmethoden bearbeitet und somit in Textur und Erscheinungsbild verändert, sodass der Gürtel schlussendlich nach Vintage aussieht.
Die Gürtel werden natürlich auch durch ihre Gürtelschnallen zusätzlich aufpoliert. Die Schnallen, wie auch die Gürtel selbst, sind handgearbeitet. Das Erscheinungsbild ist vintage und erstreckt sich von schlicht bis sehr aufwändig. Ovale Schnallen sind mit einem Naturstein versehen und mit filigranen Linien verziert.
Zu einer nicht herkömmlichen Gürtelschnalle gehört natürlich auch ein nicht herkömmlicher Gürtel. Er ist nicht durchgehend, sondern in schmale Streifen geschnitten, mit Perlen verziert oder gedreht.
Riccardo Forconi bietet Gürtel an, welche sich anfühlen als wären sie schon über Generationen hinweg Teil der Familie. Mit dem einen Unterschied, sie weisen weder Kratzer, Schrammen noch sonst irgendwelche unangenehmen Nebeneffekte des Alters auf. Also, aus Neu mach Alt.

Making old things new – that is not Riccardo Forconis’ motto. Riccardo Forconi does the exact opposite. The label makes new belts and with a special treatment, it makes them look old again.
Riccardo only uses the most delicate leather and graces it with rivets, Swarovski rhinestones, natural stones and even old coins. Further the leather goes through numerous color methods and manipulation processes, thus giving it a unique texture and changing the look – in the end the belt really looks vintage.
Of course Riccardo also thought about the belt buckles. Just like the belts, the belt buckles are handmade. The look is vintage and ranges from simple to very elaborate. Oval belt buckles are graced with nature stones and filigree lines.
A not so usual belt buckle of course also needs a not so usual belt. The belt is not continuous, but cut in thin stripes and is curled or embellished with pearls.
Riccardo Forcani offers belts that feel as if they have been part of the family for generations already. With the one big difference: They don’t have the scratches and dents or any other unpleasant features the aging process gives you. Thus, making new things old.
