Custo Barcelona wurde 1996 von den Brüdern Custo Dalmau und seinem Bruder David gegründet. Zu Beginn mussten sie ihre Mode noch von Haustür zu Haustür verkaufen, doch das sollte sich bald ändern. Der farbige, „gebrochene“ Stil ihrer Hemden war es, welcher den amerikanischen Markt eroberte. Viele erfolgreiche Serien begannen, die Protagonisten mit ihren Hemden einzukleiden (Friends, Sex and the City) und auch noch heute tragen viele Stars Custo. Obwohl ihre Hemden ihr Markenzeichen sind, verfügen Custo Barcelona mittlerweile über ein breit gefächertes Angebot für Frauen, in abgespeckterer Variante auch für Männer und Accessoires wie Düfte und Gürtel für beide Geschlechter.
Die Oberteile der Herren zeichnen sich in erster Linie durch kräftige Farben und gewagte Muster aus. Eine Mischung aus Colorblocking mit Übergängen ergibt ein einzigartiges Muster.
Ähnlich wie bei den Männern gehen hier Color Blocking und Übergänge Hand in Hand. Die Kleider erinnern vom Schnitt her meist an sommerliche Tuniken, bei denen farbige, ausgeklügelte, kleine Muster sich über das ganze Textil ziehen und dadurch den Ethno-Look und das Exotische Barcelonas unterstreichen.
Für die Herbst/Winter Kollektion 2013/14 setzt Custo Barcelona ganz klar auf kühle Varianten der Farbe Lila, die natürlich nie einzeln auftritt, sondern immer in Kombinationen mit anderen Farben, um maximale Vielfalt zu garantieren, so z.B. mit Grün, Orange, Blau und Weiß.
Bei den Männern ist es eher ein Mix aus grün-braunen und blau-weißen Kombinationen. Die Uhren erinnern bei beiden Geschlechtern an Sport und Dynamik, bei den Frauen ist die ganze Gestaltung farbenfroher als bei den Männern, denen dafür eine größere Auswahl an Modellen zur Verfügung steht (durchschnittlich 150,00€).
Dafür gibt es bei Frauen preiswerte Taschen zu ergattern, ab circa 45,00€ bekommt man bereits eine edles Modell.

Custo Barcelona was founded by the brothers Custo Dalmau and David Dalmau in the year 1996. Initially they were forced to sell their fashion door-to-door. But this would change soon fortunately. The colored, “broken” style of their shirts was the reason why they succeeded in conquering the American market. Many successful TV series were launched and with the series, including Friends and Sex and the City, came the countless protagonists wearing the shirts by Custo Barcelona. Today many stars still love Custo. Although their shirts are their signature garment, Custo Barcelona are offering a very extensive selection for women by now, and a smaller collection for men as well as a line for accessories including belts and fragrances for both sexes.
The tops of the gentlemen in the first place are marked by luscious colors and daring patterns. A mixture of color blocking with color transitions result in a unique pattern.
Like the men’s collection, women can enjoy color blocking elements and color transitions, which go hand in hand with each other as well. The dresses’ cuts remind us of summery tunics, whose fabric is pervaded by colored, sophisticated small patterns. An ethnic look and Barcelona’s exoticism are woven into the fabric and underlined by the patterns.
For the Fall and Winter Collection in 2013 and 2014, Custo Barcelona clearly counts on the cool version of the color purple. This color, of course, doesn’t appear alone on one garment. Instead purple is combined with other colors, in order to guarantee a maximized diversity. Therefore, purple can meet green, orange, blue and white on one garment.
Men can indulge in a combination of green brown and white blue mixtures. The watches for both sexes remind us of sports and dynamics. However, the watches for the ladies clearly are more enriched with a variety of colors than the watches for the gentlemen. This doesn’t change the fact that men have a larger selection of models which cost €150 on average.
